Within minutes, you feel a warm sense of calm and relaxation. You remain fully conscious and able to communicate throughout your procedure, but anxiety and discomfort fade into the background.

Once the procedure is complete, the nitrous is turned off and pure oxygen flows through the mask for a few minutes. The effects wear off almost immediately. Unlike other sedation methods, there is no lingering grogginess, and you can drive yourself home after your appointment.
