Meet Dr. Michelle Kim, DDS

Born in South Korea and raised in Virginia, Dr. Michelle Kim brings over a decade of clinical experience and a deeply personal commitment to patient care to Willis & Associates Family Dentistry Ivy – Charlottesville. Her philosophy is simple: treat every patient the way she would want to be treated herself.

Education and Training

Dr. Kim earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia, followed by a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science, building a rigorous scientific foundation before pursuing dentistry. She went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from NYU College of Dentistry, one of the top dental schools in the country.

After graduating from NYU, Dr. Kim practiced dentistry for over a decade, earning a reputation for compassionate, high-quality care and a gentle chairside manner. She continues to pursue continuing education throughout the year to stay current with the latest techniques, materials, and technologies in modern dentistry.

Her commitment to lifelong learning means patients at our Ivy Road office benefit from the most up-to-date, evidence-based care available.

Clinical Philosophy

Dr. Kim believes in conservative, patient-centered dentistry. She takes time to listen, explain findings in plain language, and present all available treatment options so patients can make informed decisions about their own care. She never recommends treatment that is not truly necessary, and she always explains the “why” behind her recommendations.
